Whitewater Gorge Trailhead
Description
Richmond’s Whitewater Valley Gorge Park spans 100 acres from Test Road to Waterfall Road. The trailhead at Test Road is the southern terminus of the Cardinal Greenway, which runs all the way to Marion. It’s also an access point to the gorge with its walls that showcase 500 million years of geologic history.
Richmond residents call the gorge a gem and really want to see it shine. With that in mind, we’re building a new trailhead, which will improve access to the park, the gorge, the Cardinal Greenway, and the Whitewater River. Features will include a canoe and kayak launch, an expanded and paved parking lot, picnic area, and more.
Check out the LIVESTREAM WEBCAM to see the trailhead’s progress.
