Lake Edgewood Dam
Description
More than 200 of Indiana’s 1,100 dams are considered high hazards, those where failure will probably cause loss of human life. The majority of these dams, however, are owned privately. As these structures age beyond their life expectancy, expensive reconstruction work can be expected. Funding becomes an important piece of dam ownership. We coordinated with the engineers, the local conservancy, municipal agencies, and the homeowners association leadership to remove the aged dam at Lake Edgewood, and replace it with a spillway that not only effectively manages the scenic reservoir’s water levels and its overflow, but also adds an aesthetically pleasing structure that blends with the rolling hills of Southern Indiana.
When your community is ready to replace its dam and spillway, give us a call. Check out this VIDEO of Lake Edgewood.
