Depot Street Park
Description
The amazing green space that is Depot Street Park came from the progressive city’s dream to transform a vacant lot next to the historic grainery. In the shadow of the old grain tower and Greenfield’s iconic clock tower, we constructed a park and rail trail that honors the city’s railroad and art roots. A performance stage, reclaimed railroad tracks embedded into the sidewalks, and a sculpture of Will Vawter, James Whitcomb Riley’s favorite illustrator, are just a few of the park’s prominent features.
